That second half of life in the empty nest can be a real challenge but, YES, it can be joyful. Twenty years ago I was coaching/advising women to Get A (mid) Life! Living with Passion, Purpose and Pizzazz!
Now I focus on finding the wonder in ordinary moments.
I love that, so often people don't recognize those ordinary moments which can be filled with magic. I like to reflect on ordinary moments because it tells me a lot about what I truly desire💜
Great post, Cindy! I like how you laid out your experiences and research that sparked your offering and ideas of what’s to come.
I am now 77. My kids flew the coop long ago and my granddaughter is about to turn 21. I retired after I had a stroke in 2020 which prompted a whole new learning and growing process, things I plan to share in my writing. As long as you have breath, you always have opportunities to grow!
Thanks Nancy -- I love that you are continuing to learn and grow -- and I couldn't agree more. It's never too late to start something new. I look forward to checking out your writing and appreciate you stopping by and commenting.
It does get better! Rather then focusing on what you're missing, look forward to all the great new memories you'll make... there is much to celebrate knowing you raised a human and they are successfully out in the world! Yay you👏👏👏
